Member Hall of Fame

The following is a special mention to all the members/coaches that contributed to the Sharon High robotics program.

Founding members class of 2019:

Brandon Morris

Brandon was on the high school team for two years. He was on the FLL team for five years. He helped start the team and has done the programming. Brandon is attending Pennsylvania State University for software engineering.

 

Klaus Curde

Klaus was on the team for two years. He was a member of the programming team. Klaus is attending Rochester Institute of Technology for computer programming.

 

 

 

 

JR Stevenson

JR was on the team for two years. He was also on the FLL team for five years. He was a member of the Build team to build our first robot. JR is attending the University of Pittsburgh college for mechanical engineering.

 

 

Will Stigliano 

Will has been on the team for two years. He was also on our school’s FLL team for five years.  He was a member of the build team which built our first robot. Will is attending the University of Northwestern Ohio for robotics and automation technology.

 

Ben Baron

Ben was a member of the team for two years. He was on FLL for five years.  He was a member of the build team which built our first robot. Ben is attending John Carroll University for Pre-Med.

 

 

Class of 2020 Members:

Justin Stanek

Justin was a member of the FTC team for three years and FLL for five years. He was a founding member of the team, and was part of the media and build teams. Justin is attending Penn State University.

 

Class of 2021 Members:

Emma Barborak

Emma Barborak was a three year member of the FTC robotics team.  She assisted with the startup of the first team even though she wasn’t yet on the team.  Emma was on the FLL team for 5 years. While on the FTC team, she worked with the media team, enjoyed website building, social media, and participated in building the robot.  She attends Youngstown State University; majoring in business and minoring in film.

 

Lucas D’Angelo

Lucas D’Angelo was on the FLL robotics team for a total of five years and three years on the FTC robotics team. He goes to Westminster College for computer programming.

 

 

 

Juan Florez

Juan Florez was a member of the FTC team for two years. He graduated one semester early in hopes of becoming a combat medic for the Army National Guard. After completing training, he hopes to attend either Williams College or Yale University as a neuroscience major.

 

Jon Wareham

Jon Wareham was on the FTC team for three years. He was on FLL for four years where he was primarily a programmer. He was also involved in various high school activities. He attends Youngstown State University for computer science.

 

 

Kyle Wareham

Kyle Wareham was a three year member of the FTC team, and a four year member of FLL. While on the FTC team, his specialties were engineering and building. He attends Youngstown State University, majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in physics.

 

 

Peter Wood

Peter Wood was on the FTC team for three years, and the FLL team for five years. Peter helped design and build the robot and assisted on the media team. He currently attends Pitt University, and he majors in mechanical engineering.

 

Class of 2022 Members:

Ramsey Brown

Ramsey Brown participated in the Sharon City School District’s robotics programs for a total of 8 years, 3 of which were on the FTC team and 5 on the FLL team. He is attending Robert Morris University for Computer Information Systems, and is planning on joining the robotics team, the Mechatronics.

 

 

Eli Buck

Eli Buck was a member of the FTC team for 3 years and the FLL team for 5 years, for a total of 8 years in a school robotics program. He will be studying Mechanical Engineering at Youngstown State University, and is working in the YSU Excellence Training Center, or the ETC.

 

 

Alex Sokol

Alex Sokol was on the FTC team for 3 years and the FLL team for 4, with a combined experience of 7 years on a school robotics team. He will be attending  PennWest Edinboro University to study Applied Computing- Game and Virtual World Development.

 

 

Class of 2023 Members:

Ben Pollock

Ben Pollock was a 3 year member of the FTC team, was on the FLL team for 5 years, and was on an FRC team for 2 years. After high school, Ben applied and was accepted into a local electrical union. He will be studying to be an electrician for the next several years.

 

 

Founding Coaches

Rick Barborak

Mr. Rick Barborak (Coach Rick) coached the FTC team at Sharon Schools from 2017-2020.  Coach Rick enjoyed overseeing the team members who were engineering and building. He is proud to be a part of history at Sharon High School and commends the students for their hard work in not only starting the program but keeping it going.

 

 

Jennifer Barborak 

Mrs. Jennifer Barborak (Coach Jen) coached the FTC team at Sharon Schools from 2017-2020.  Coach Jen oversaw the media and fundraising as well as the building, engineering, and programming. “I am so excited to watch the students grow in their skill level and how they become more confident in their abilities each season. It’s a credit to these students that we even have a high school team.”
